Parenting Matters

Parenting Matters is a year-long immersion in an intentional parenting community. We blend individual coaching with group work to create meaningful change. We are the only intentional parenting offering that works side-by-side with parents and co-parents to heal your attachement wounds, create custom approaches for your family, and increase your network of fellow travelers all within a safe, nourishing container.

We believe that you and your family deserve to live in harmony from a place of wholeness. And we know that our community can support you as you create this kind of family health; one that feels aligned, true, and in line with who you are.

All of us, from the cradle to the grave, are happiest when life is organized as a series of excursions, long or short, from the secure base provided by our attachment figures. – John Bowlby

TRUE CONNECTION

The healing power of being seen and seeing your fellow travelers accumulates leading to a wealth of deep connections with other community members and growth-minded parents.

Who is the program for?

Our community members are courageous parents and co-parents who want to bring their best selves to parenting. They seek community and insights. We help them find the sweet spot: An authentic, loving parental expression of themselves that aligns with who they are, what they value, and how they like to live. We’ve guided dozens of people to find their most authentic path through parenting.

NEW PARENT – Seeking Guidance + Camaraderie

Babies bring many changes, and we’re not just talking about diapers. It’s widely known but not always openly discussed that many couples struggle to stay close after children arrive. The inevitable strains of parenthood–on your time, finances, hormones, sex, sleep, and energy–test even the strongest relationships. If you’ve experienced  friction, bickering, arguing, or resentment over chores or parenting styles, that’s natural. Have you  done the work to see the extent of your “shadow” side? Do  you recognize the life experiences triggering you and informing your reactions with your  partner? This is where a community meeting under the guidance of a knowledgeable coach like Lesley can lead to amazing breakthroughs. Skillful repair and relationship growth are conscious undertakings.

DISENCHANTED PARENTS – Needing actionable Goals + Support

If you have been working on your marriage or parenting skills for many months or years, and you are not where you want to be, we welcome you whole-heartedly.  This is a place where you can get clarity on what hasn’t been working, and why. You’ll learn how to course-correct for family healing and relationship growth. The elements of reflection, loving accountability and support that the circles provide can hold you as you implement new strategies and ways of being with your family.

CONSCIOUS PARENTS – Looking to Deepen Attunement + Refine

If most of family life has been fulfilling, yet you yearn for more frequent and loving connections, you may be ready to take your family to an even deeper level of authentic love. Or, you may be fulfilled with your family but craving a community of peers on the same path of conscious parenting – who want to share the ups and downs, help you plan for your future, and celebrate and recognize you on your life’s journey as a family unit.

After 10 years of listening intimately to individuals, couples, and small groups, I’ve come to believe that the meaning of life is to become as fully and skillfully human as possible. We do that by healing our relational core wounds in relationship, and by excavating our innate wholeness, which is often buried underneath emotional injuries.

My life’s work has been to “hold space” for other people. I founded HoloBeing Healing Arts and am a practicing psychotherapist and coach. Almost daily, I bear witness to foundational breakthroughs with our clients and community members as we focus on increasing awareness and discernment. I invite you to explore the nuances and totality of your human experience, as I am still doing today. Join the growing community of conscious parents who aren’t willing to settle for the status quo.

What people are saying

These are the kinds of things we hear from previous (and current) clients and program participants.

Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom.
